(August 2, 2006) - On August 4-6, 2006, Chicago’s Grant Park will once again play host to Lollapalooza, a 3-day concert hosting 130 bands on 8 different stages that promises to be the music event of the summer. The lineup includes the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chicago’s own Kanye West, Manu Chao, Wilco, Death Cab For Cutie, The Raconteurs, Gnarls Barkley, The Shins and many more. For 3 days this summer, Grant Park will be the place where pop, garage, hip-hop and rock will all collide and serve up one flavorful music buffet for all music lovers to enjoy.
This year the Chicago Trolley Company has been contracted to provide transportation to the event for Lollapalooza VIPs. Each day, the Chicago Trolley Company will provide 4 Trolleys that will shuttle people from 3 hotels in the downtown area to the music festival at Grant Park. The shuttle service will run from 12:00pm to 6:00pm continuously and will pickup passengers from the Wyndham Chicago, Homewood Suites and the Hard Rock Hotel.
