(November 27, 2006) - Orland Park has contracted the Chicago Trolley Company to provide free transportation for their holiday shoppers in an effort to alleviate congestion. The Chicago Trolley Company has provided this service for 12 years now and enjoys being a part of the Orland Park holiday shopping tradition.
The shopping center route is from 143rd Street to 159th Street along LaGrange Road, along 94th Avenue and the Old Orland business district. And from Orland Square Mall to the east of 94th Avenue along Wheeler Drive to 73rd Avenue for the residential route.
The holiday Trolley service will also run from Orland Square Mall to the Eagle Ridge and Brook Hills subdivision on November 24th and December 16th only.
The free Trolley service begins November 24th and ends December 26th. It will run every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Trolleys will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 24th and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on December 26th.
