  • Class A Master Mechanic = 5 years mechanical repair experience on trucks, buses or heavy equipment
  • Class B Mid-Level Mechanic= 3 years mechanical repair experience on trucks, buses or heavy equipment
  • Must have own tools (specialty and larger items supplied by company)
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
  • Ability to communicate fluently in the English language
  • Ability to legally work in the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug-screen
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must pass all American Coach Lines of Atlanta's Safety & Training Programs


  • Experience in the transportation industry
  • Experience in the Motor Coach industry
  • Possession of ASE and HV AC Certifications
  • Computer skills a plus, but training is provided


  • Performs independent preventative maintenance and repair for a fleet of luxury motor coaches and mini buses
  • Communicates any mechanical problems with the coach to supervisors and/or the garage to resolve the issue
  • Checks each coach for safety related and other defects as required
  • Works with a wide variety of people and be able to work with their needs and requests
  • Completes paperwork as prescribed by the company and Federal guidelines
  • Handles job-related stress that comes from mechanical breakdowns, customers, other drivers, management, etc., including last minute changes


  • Ability to lift and assist up to 125 pounds at a time
  • Must be able to pull, push, turn, squeeze, sit, stand, squat, kneel and bend at any given time

  • Ability to work flexible schedules such as shift work, weekends, holidays, special days, etc.
