Job Description

Community Coach Transportation (A Coach USA Company) is currently in search of a Safety Manager our facility located in Paramus, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team of transportation professionals. This is a full time position. Job Overview:

  • Monitors the company's safety standards in accordance with OSHA, state and Federal regulations.
  • Assists with testing and servicing safety equipment and systems.
  • Observes workers and evaluates job activities to determine use of prescribed safety equipment such as glasses, goggles, respirators, clothing, harnesses, and other equipment.
  • Implements administrative or engineering controls to abate or minimize safety hazards, vehicle accident and injuries.
  • Inspects specified areas for fire prevention equipment and other safety and first-aid supplies.
  • Prepares report of findings with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Investigates causes of accidents to identify preventive safety measures for incorporation into the safety program.
  • Oversees the administration of workers' compensation program, accident reporting and investigation including working with the insurance carrier to reduce employee lost time and expenses.
  • Maintains programs and record keeping systems that track and evaluate personnel injuries.
  • Conducts trend analysis, audits, accident investigations, and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensures compliance with facilities Air Quality and Waste Water Permits and hazardous waste program.
  • Develops and submits reports to NJ Transits, Local, State, Federal and EPA as required to ensure environment and transportation compliance.
