"I am delighted at the opportunity to bring our visitors to historic Coney Island with all the sights and thrills," said Thomas Lewis, President of Gray Line New York Sightseeing, "It is a fun day trip that visitors and metro New York residents will certainly remember long after they leave the boardwalk."
"I'm proud that Gray Line Tours has realized what Brooklynites have known for decades: that Coney Island is truly the most exciting and inviting urban beach in America," said Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz. "And with Coney Island's resurgence adding to Brooklyn's tourism boom, I foresee a day when Gray Line will organize day trips from Brooklyn to the outer borough of Manhattan."
"Coney Island has a rich history for good reason," said Dr. Paul Boyle, Director of the New York Aquarium. "It's an amazing scene! The beach is beautiful – a vista onto the Atlantic. The historic Boardwalk has inspired movies, songs, and generations of entertainment. Today, the Aquarium is full of delightful, mysterious, and fascinating animals, and a ride on the Wonder Wheel or Cyclone will get your heart pumping. Coney Island is a great family experience."
