Tour Itinerary

October 15 – With time to get acquainted with our new traveling friends, we head south to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Arrive at our hotel, our home for the next three nights, amidst all the excitement. This evening, you will be able to enjoy dinner on your own at a restaurant of your choice.

October 16 – A continental breakfast is included each morning at the hotel. Today our professional local guide will give us a narrated tour of the area and the Great Smoky Mountains, including Cherokee, North Carolina and Newfound Gap – absolutely beautiful! Then this afternoon you will have some free time to explore the quaint shops of downtown Gatlinburg. There is a National Craft Show going on at the convention center in town that you may want to check out, or perhaps you’ll decide to take a tram ride up the mountain for a magnificent Autumn view! Have plenty of film in your camera! Later, it’s back to Pigeon Forge for the wonderful "Dixie Stampede" with a 4-course dinner, plus a fun-filled, action-packed extravaganza that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime! Our groups always LOVE our evenings at the Stampede! (CB, D)

October 17 – Today is our day for the famous "Dollywood" Theme Park. The great shows and talent here are some of the best in the country. Also, October is "Gospel Music Month", so prepare for some extra-heartfelt singing throughout the park! We include dinner at Dollywood, and then head over to our reserved seats at what’s been voted the "Best Show in the Smokies", Country Tonight! It combines your favorite country classic with new hits and hilarious country comedy, and continues to be the most award-winning show in the smokies! A great evening of fun! (CB, D)

October 18 – This morning is a favorite treat of past travelers – we take our seats for the Blackwood Jamboree Show with heart-warming, fun entertainment! A little time to get lunch at Bass Pro, and then we head for Kentucky. The afternoon will find us making a picture stop at scenic Cumberland Gap Visitor’s Center and National Forest with its beautiful Autumn views. Overnight is in Richmond, KY with a delicious dinner included at "Acres of Land", set amidst the rolling hills of an award-winning vineyard. (CB, D)

October 19 – Breakfast is included before driving a short ways to Lexington to pick up our local step-on tour guide and be treated to a wonderful overview of the beautiful "Bluegrass Country". Rest stops and a nice dinner stop are planned for your traveling comfort as we journey on home! (B)
