Tour description:

Located in Indiana County lies the small community of Smicksburg. Founded in 1827, this area is home to Amish families who still enjoy a life of simple living, shunning modern conveniences. As you drive through the countryside, take notice of the horse-drawn buggies and a “down home” area with rolling farmlands and laundry blowing in the breeze. This tour will visit several of the quaint shops and will include a local guide as we first start out with lunch in Smicksburg. Our touring will take us through country vistas, farms, passing Amish homes, schools and shops as our guide provides fascinating narration about our neighboring area and answers the 20 most frequently asked questions regarding the quiet and private Amish way of living. In addition, we will make stops at the Quilt and Candle Shop, The Chocolate Shop which features bulk goods and other various items, the Smicksburg Cemetery, Amish Furniture Store, and Windgate Winery. Our final stop of the day will be the historic Marshall House Museum where you will be served a wonderful country dinner by their singing waiters – simply delightful.

Tour includes:

Deluxe motorcoach transportation, lunch and dinner, local guide, all touring stops.
