Tour description

Amish Home Craft and Bakery - Beautifully located on an Amish Farm in Geauga County, we will begin our day with a fresh cup of coffee or hot chocolate and a sweet treat made for you by Mrs. Miller. During this unique visit, she will explain to our group what it was like growing up Amish on the farm, and there will be time to browse through her beautiful craft and quilt shop. Her shop includes many out-of-the-ordinary pieces in a friendly and peaceful location which now features fresh baked goods. Ridgeview Farm and Country Market - Relax as you take a hayride through the fields and look over the valley and enjoy the fall foliage. At this friendly farm you will learn about the daily operation of a real working farm. The Grover’s are proud to share the history of this farm which was purchased in 1926. Get up close and personal with their barn yard friends ! Amish Home Cooking For Lunch - Get your taste buds ready for some authentic and delicious Amish home cooking as we will have the pleasure of eating in an Amish home - they will greet us with open arms and serve up a wonderful array of yummy items that you will love - no one will leave hungry and this will be a lovely experience for all. ACJ Scenic Railroad - Pumpkin Train - We will ride the rails on the Ashtabula, Carson & Jefferson Scenic Line on today’s special Pumpkin Train. We will travel through scenic woodlands and farmland between the quaint villages. You will enjoy a refreshment during your ride and everyone will receive a small pumpkin to take home ! Historic Jefferson Depot Village - We will visit this quaint preserved living history village which is adjacent to the train station. This tour will be reminiscent of the early life in the 1800’s in Jefferson and you will travel back in time as you climb aboard and tour the 1918 “Red Caboose” and relive the thrills of yesteryear. Built in 1872, the Jefferson Depot contains railroad memorabilia to enjoy with original features from the 1800’s.
