Tour Itinerary

March 13 – We will head east today to the welcoming county of Lancaster which will be our home the next two nights. Check in at our hotel and freshen up before our evening out. We will then arrive at the lovely Dutch Apple Dinner Theater for a delicious included dinner followed by a live stage show with tonight’s comedy feature, “Caught In The Net”. The two-timing taxi driver, John Smith, is back with a new problem in this hilarious comedy as he shifts his antics into high gear trying to keep his double life a secret ! You will love this fun evening. (D)

March 14 – Breakfast included at your hotel. We will then meet our guide for a great day of Lancaster sights and attractions. We will venture out onto roads less traveled through the heart of the Amish Farmlands with pristine Amish farms and one room school houses. There will be a stop at an Amish Quilt and Craft Shop right on a real working Amish farm and you will have a chance to meet the Amish in person browsing through their handmade quilts and country crafts. We will then learn all about the building of Amish buggies on fascinating tour with an Amish man who has been building buggies for over 30 years. By lunchtime, we will be at the Kitchen Kettle Village where you will have free time to stroll through this lovely village of 42 shops and restaurants with lunch on your own. After a full morning of touring and shopping, we will return to our hotel to relax and freshen up before our evening out. Get ready for a most delicious dinner served to our group at one of the local authentic restaurants. Then take your seats at the beautiful Sight & Sound Millennium Theater for the inspiring evening performance of “Moses” – one of the Bible’s most epic sagas which come to life on their magnificent stage. You will travel with Moses on his quest for personal identity that changes the course of history. Journey back in time as you witness the moment God first speaks to Moses at the burning bush and experience God’s awe-inspiring power as you sit in the midst of the parted Red Sea…and then there are the Ten Commandments. Feel the celebration of the Israelites as they brush past you on their path to freedom and discover God’s unique plan as this action-packed story is chronicled for the very first time on the Sight & Sound stage. This will be one you won’t want to miss in 2014. (B, D)

March 15 – Breakfast included at your hotel. Before we depart the area we will make one last and very special stop to see the Lil Country Store owned by Henry and Linda Stoltzfus. The highlight of this visit will not only be the diverse array of wonderful merchandise offered here but you will love the miniature horses in the barn next door who will be waiting to greet you. Henry has cleverly crafted the stalls so that each has a large hole cut in the door and its quite a site to turn the corner and see 10 little heads peeking out at you ! It’s a unique experience for all. (B)
