SECURITY RESTRICTIONS: Please plan to carry the smallest/lightest purse or fanny pack during this tour to expedite our group going through the various security points at many of the attractions we plan to visit. In many cases, all bags of any kind will be hand searched. Do not bring backpacks to carry during our touring and remove any and all sharp objects from your purses, pockets and fanny packs. Any sharp items such as pocket knives, nail files, screwdrivers, corkscrews, scissors, etc. will be removed from you at security and you may not get them back. Plan to bring a photo I.D. with you such as driver’s license as it may be required for entrance at any time.

Tour Itinerary 

April 4 – This afternoon we will arrive at the Smithsonian Institution’s new Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center National Air and Space Museum which provides space for the objects that tell the history of aviation and space flight with over 335 air and spacecraft on display including the Space Shuttle Enterprise, an SR-71 Blackbird, F-4 Phantom fighter and many more. There is an observation tower where visitor’s can watch air traffic at Dulles International Airport. Later this afternoon, we will check in to our hotel to freshen up before our evening dinner at a local popular restaurant before retiring for the evening after a very full day…welcome to our Nation’s Capital ! April 5 – Breakfast is included at your hotel this morning. We will meet our guide this morning for our driving tour arriving on Capitol Hill at the New Visitor’s Center which welcomes visitors to the seat of the American Government. The many features include an exhibition gallery that exhibits the House and Senate while in session, gift shops and lots more. We will visit the Library of Congress which is the largest national library in the world with more than 650 miles of bookshelves housing more than one hundred million objects ! We will then arrive at the Smithsonian Institution’s museums on the National Mall. You will have a few hours to enjoy the museums as you wish with lunch on your own in any of the museum cafeterias. (The security at the museums is strict – do not bring backpacks or large bags of any kind. Do not bring any sharp objects of any kind.) Due to many passenger requests, we are giving everyone plenty of time to really enjoy what the Smithsonian has to offer and your touring choices will be endless – enjoy your time here as you wish. Throughout our day, our guide will take us on a viewing tour of the outside of the United States Capitol and the Supreme Court Building. Later today we will visit the Tidal Basin area to view the beautiful Cherry Trees which were a gift to the city in 1912 from Tokyo. Other highlights today will be the FDR Memorial, the new Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial and the Korean War Veterans Memorial. We will stop at Union Station where you can enjoy the shops with dinner on your own at their large food court. After dinner we will have a quick drive by at night to see the monuments beautifully lit up in all there splendor before returning to our hotel for the evening after a super day of sights. (B)

April 6 – Breakfast is included at your hotel this morning. Today’s touring will include the Arlington National Cemetery, the Women in Military Memorial and the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue). We will once again arrive at the Smithsonian Institution’s museums on the National Mall. You will have a couple of hours to enjoy the museums as you wish with lunch on your own in any of the museum cafeterias. The departure for home will be early this afternoon after a great time in Washington, D.C. (B)

Prior to 30 days from your departure date a full refund will be made (with the exception of special event and/or show tours, air tours and cruises which will be different - be sure to ask about these details when your booking is made). There is no refund for cancellations made within 30 days prior to your departure date. But you are welcome to send someone in your place and let us know the name change (this does not apply to air and cruise tours which have various restrictions, strict cancellation policies and name change charges).

Butler Motor Tours offers a refund protection plan on all overnight tours with varying restrictions due to the nature of the tour. We highly encourage you to take advantage of it, although it is certainly your own individual decision. This plan is available at an additional cost and will protect your monies due to sickness or death, but it does not cover you if you simply "change your mind". An official written letter from the doctor is required for proof of illness or a statement as to the death in your family. This plan expires 30 days after cancellation, if the documentation is not received within 30 days of cancellation, the refund is forfeited. There is only a small window period of time in which you are allowed to purchase the plan so be sure to ask upon booking.

To ensure passenger comfort, we have a "NO SMOKING" policy on all of our tours, which also includes e-cigarettes. Ample comfort stops are made for smoking and restroom convenience. Feel free to request a smoking or non-smoking hotel room when making your reservations. No alcohol is allowed on any tour at any time. We reserve the right to refuse boarding under such circumstances that these policies are not followed.

Butler Motor Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour that has not reached a minimum number of reservations. We also reserve the right to change tour prices and itineraries if so dictated by circumstances beyond our control. We always avoid canceling a tour if at all possible, as we understand the inconvenience to you - our valued customer. Feel free to ask about any departure, especially if you are taking vacation days at your place of work.

The cost of your tour includes one piece of luggage per person to be checked under the coach and one small carry-on piece. Any additional suitcase is allowed at a cost of $5.00 per day and this must be paid with the final tour payment. You will be responsible for the handling of your own carry-on luggage at all times.

Butler Motor Tours acts as an agent in arranging hotel and other accommodations and cannot be held responsible for non-performance.

Any person or group which requires an ADA accessible bus is requested to inform us at the time of reservation, and must notify us in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the charter's departure.

Charges will appear as "CoachUSA/Megabus" on your credit card statement. We are a United States merchant and all card payments are processed at our corporate office located at 160 S. Route 17 North, Paramus, NJ.
