A very special opportunity: Staying right on the Island for two nights! Welcome to the breathtaking beauty of Mackinac Island, Michigan’s most photographed and talked-about travel destination. Located between Michigan’s upper and lower peninsulas, the Island offers you unforgettable natural beauty, surrounded by the clean, sparkling water of the Great Lakes! Our expanded Summer trip will find us taking in the beautiful Lilac Festival held annually on the Island, and also basking for two nights in the fine service and warm hospitality of “The Island House”, a registered Michigan Historic Landmark. Mackinac Island is everything you’ve heard it was and more!

June 11-12 – We’ll travel northwest with time to get-acquainted with our new traveling friends and arrive in Mackinaw city late afternoon. The first evening, you can enjoy their new shopping and dining experience, Mackinaw Crossings, where you can get dinner and enjoy strolling the streets of this little Victorian Village. The next morning, we’ll cross the 5-mile “Mighty Mac” Bridge to St. Ignace and board a ferry to take us over to beautiful Mackinac Island where horse-drawn carriages will be waiting to take us on a delightful, narrated tour, ending at Ft. Mackinac with time to explore this piece of history. You’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy the Lilac festivities, the charming shopping areas, our beautiful accommodations, and the Island itself. A delicious dinner is included at our hotel this evening. (B, D)

June 13 – Totally free to have fun any way you wish amidst the many fun and interesting things to do on Mackinac Island. The choices are especially plentiful during the Lilac Festival! Rent a bike and ride around the Island, or hire your own horse-drawn carriage. Purchase the Island’s world famous fudge at one of the many colorful shops all along the main street. For the history buffs, there are guided walking tours, or perhaps tea at the Ft. Mackinac Tea Room, or maybe a tour of the Astor Fur House. For water-lovers, there are boat excursions; for nature lovers, there is the new Butterfly Conservatory; for those who want to relax more than anything, there are miles and miles of beautiful lakeshore to sit along and daydream! The highlight of the day, however, will be your included “Grand Buffet Lunch” at the majestic 114-year old Grand Hotel, also called “The Crown Jewel of Mackinac Island” – wonderful in everyway. June 14 – We’ll ferry back to the mainland and journey over to the quaint Bavarian village of Frankenmuth where you will enjoy this delightful area, including time for you to get lunch! Much too soon, it will be time to head for Ohio, but the fun’s not over as we make a stop at the “Man’s Paradise” also known as Cabela’s. With rest stops and dinner stop planned for your traveling comfort, we finish our journey back – safe and sound, to our pick-up points. All-in-all, a wonderful opportunity to leave the rest of the world far behind and revel in the richness and charm of bygone era. (B)

Prior to 30 days from your departure date a full refund will be made (with the exception of special event and/or show tours, air tours and cruises which will be different - be sure to ask about these details when your booking is made). There is no refund for cancellations made within 30 days prior to your departure date. But you are welcome to send someone in your place and let us know the name change (this does not apply to air and cruise tours which have various restrictions, strict cancellation policies and name change charges).

Butler Motor Tours offers a refund protection plan on all overnight tours with varying restrictions due to the nature of the tour. We highly encourage you to take advantage of it, although it is certainly your own individual decision. This plan is available at an additional cost and will protect your monies due to sickness or death, but it does not cover you if you simply "change your mind". An official written letter from the doctor is required for proof of illness or a statement as to the death in your family. This plan expires 30 days after cancellation, if the documentation is not received within 30 days of cancellation, the refund is forfeited. There is only a small window period of time in which you are allowed to purchase the plan so be sure to ask upon booking.

To ensure passenger comfort, we have a "NO SMOKING" policy on all of our tours, which also includes e-cigarettes. Ample comfort stops are made for smoking and restroom convenience. Feel free to request a smoking or non-smoking hotel room when making your reservations. No alcohol is allowed on any tour at any time. We reserve the right to refuse boarding under such circumstances that these policies are not followed.

Butler Motor Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour that has not reached a minimum number of reservations. We also reserve the right to change tour prices and itineraries if so dictated by circumstances beyond our control. We always avoid canceling a tour if at all possible, as we understand the inconvenience to you - our valued customer. Feel free to ask about any departure, especially if you are taking vacation days at your place of work.

The cost of your tour includes one piece of luggage per person to be checked under the coach and one small carry-on piece. Any additional suitcase is allowed at a cost of $5.00 per day and this must be paid with the final tour payment. You will be responsible for the handling of your own carry-on luggage at all times.

Butler Motor Tours acts as an agent in arranging hotel and other accommodations and cannot be held responsible for non-performance.

Any person or group which requires an ADA accessible bus is requested to inform us at the time of reservation, and must notify us in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the charter's departure.

Charges will appear as "CoachUSA/Megabus" on your credit card statement. We are a United States merchant and all card payments are processed at our corporate office located at 160 S. Route 17 North, Paramus, NJ.
