Located along a magnificent seven-mile stretch of the Wisconsin River. Wisconsin Dells has been a tourist destination for more than 150 years. The river’s spectacular Cambrian sandstone cliffs and amazing rock formations rise 100 feet above the water. It is also a “down-home” community that has become the Number 1 Tourism Spot in the entire state of Wisconsin. The area offers a rare combination of natural beauty and exciting attractions, and we’re going to enjoy all of the best ones!

Tour itinerary:

June 25 – We point our deluxe, motorcoach westward, and enjoy a day of travel as we get acquainted with our new traveling friends. After arriving in Racine, WI, we check into our lovely waterfront hotel, the Radisson Harbourwalk. Evening free – dinner on own.

June 26 – A short drive takes us to Greendale, WI. Are you familiar with “Taste of Home” and “Taste of Country” magazines? This morning we’ll be visiting Reiman’s delightful Visitor Center – see why over 200,000 people visit this Center annually as we visit the exhibits the Country Store Outlet. Free time for lunch in this quaint town before finishing our trek to the famous Wisconsin Dells. Our touring begins with a picturesque boat ride on the Wisconsin River. The Upper Dells features some of the areas most striking signature sandstone cliffs. Along the scenic route, you will see some of the tallest rock formations of the region such as Steamboat Rock and Black Hawk’s Profile. Our boat will stop at two historic shorelandings – Witches Gulch and Stand Rock. At Witches Gulch, you can explore mysterious passageways as you walk through this cool canyon that offers beauty beyond words. Stand Rock is the area’s world-famous trademark – sculpted by the forces of nature. Watch in amazement as specially trained jumping dogs leap the five-foot chasm from the main cliff to the rock ledge. A very special time is ours this evening at the wonderful Wisconsin Opry with a home-cooked meal and then their delightful Opry Show with its country, bluegrass, gospel, and zany antics presented by a first-rate group of performers. Our groups love this event, and you will, too! Our home for two nights is right in the heart of the Dells. (D)

June 27 – The first half of today is spent at “The House on the Rock”, an architectural marvel perched on a 60-foot chimney of rock overlooking the breathtaking panorama of Wyoming Valley. The huge house, sculpted atop Deer Shelter Rock, is the original structure of what is now an extraordinary complex of rooms, streets, buildings and gardens covering over 200 acres. A 375-foot ramp through treetops takes visitors to the entrance of the House where a bell gallery, waterfalls, massive fireplaces and walls of rock can be seen. You will especially love the “Infinity Room” with walls of glass, projecting out over the Wyoming Valley 218 feet. A glass cocktail table provides visitors with a breathtaking view of the forest floor 156 feet below. With 3,264 windows, there’s no doubt about it, there truly is no other place like it in the world – (and yes, walking is required to see it!) An afternoon ride on the “Wisconsin Ducks” (amphibious vehicles) on the Lower Dells will be a special treat – great fun on land & water! This evening, dinner is yours to enjoy at a local favorite before taking our seats at the famous “Tommy Bartlett’s Ski & Sky Show”. You’ll love this live, 90-minute spectacle featuring a combination of high-powered boats, fast-paced water-skiing and breathtaking stunts on water, on stage and high in the sky. (B,D)

June 28 – Today we depart the Dells area, but the fun’s far from over as we arrive in Ft. Atkinson where we’ll be guests at the wonderful Fireside Dinner Theater! A delicious full lunch and their production of “Driving Miss Daisy” will make for a great time! Continuing on to the outskirts of Chicago, enjoy a free evening with dinner on your own by the hotel. (B,L)

June 29 – A local step-on guide will join us this morning and take us on a highlights tour Chicago – fun! You’ll have time to get lunch at famous Navy Pier before we finish our journey home with rest stops and a meal stop planned for your traveling comfort. (B)

Cost Includes: Deluxe motorcoach transportation, 4 night’s accommodations, 3 breakfasts, 1 full lunch, 2 dinners, all activities as listed above, luggage handling and taxes.
