Tour Itinerary:

July 6 – We start off our adventure heading west with our first overnight at Effingham, Illinois.

July 7 - We continue our lovely trip with arrival at the charming Eureka Springs, Arkansas for the next 3 nights. We will get checked in before enjoying a wonderful dinner at one of Eureka Springs’ most popular dining establishments which we are sure you will enjoy - welcome ! (B, D)

July 8 - Breakfast is included. Get ready for a great day filled with fun as we start off with a local tour of the Eureka Springs area with our guide. We will then board the special Eureka Springs Historic District Tram Tour which will really give you a great insight to the area. There are normally two stops on the tour where you get off the tram and get to explore the 1886 Crescent Hotel and also a stop at the healing spring, Grotto Spring. You will see and learn about this spring and the other 60 plus springs that made Eureka Springs famous in the 1800’s and early 1900’s.The full length Tram Tour is a very interesting experience. Then it’s all aboard the Eureka Springs and North Arkansas Railway and step back in time to an earlier age of locomotive transportation with a rail excursion including lunch in the dining car. You will experience the elegant flavor of the 1920’s on this collection of vintage rolling stock which is one of the Ozarks largest, providing visitors an authentic and fun experience. There will then be some free time to enjoy the downtown area for an extraordinary shopping experience where winding mountain streets are lined with Victorian era storefronts and creative window displays to browse. This impeccably preserved historic town of Eureka Springs is a lovely experience and is the only city in America whose entire downtown district is on the National Register for Historic Preservation. We should then have time to freshen up at our hotel before our evening out starting with the New Holy Land Tour…walk through a life-sized replica of the Eastern Gate in Jerusalem and you will feel as if you are journeying through the actual Holy Land as you experience Biblical life with a full scale replica of the Tabernacle. Dinner will be included before we attend America’s # 1 attended outdoor drama at the Great Passion Play. Performed on a 550 foot stage, this production includes 250 actors, live animals, music provided by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and digital lighting. This awe-inspiring performance under the stars brings to life the glory and triumph of the life, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Christ including the largest statue of Christ in the northern hemisphere. There will also be time to visit the museums and shops at the Passion Play area. (B, L, D)

July 9 - Breakfast is included. This morning we visit Arkansas’ only water-powered grist mill, grinding healthy, whole grain organic flours and mixes - this is a fascinating story. We will arrive at Bentonville, the location of the Wal Mart Home office (the world’s largest retailer). Our guide will show us the highlights including the main attraction at the Wal Mart Visitors Center which is housed in Sam Walton’s original Five and Dime. There will be time for lunch on your own in the downtown area On The Square. Just north of downtown is the Crystal Bridges Museum founded by Alice Walton in 2011 containing many masterpieces including Walton’s private collection. Another stop on our tour today will be the Mildred Cooper Memorial Chapel - the architectural aspects of this impressive design can’t help but take your breath away including the massive wooden doors and arches along with the magnitude of the building itself. Later this afternoon we arrive back at our hotel to freshen up before our evening out. Another fabulous dinner will be included at one of Eureka’s special restaurants followed by the evening show at Pine Mountain Theater. As the curtain rises, get ready for the most fun filled two hours of non-stop music and comedy ever presented - you will love this ! (B, D)

July 10 - Breakfast is included. We will say goodbye to this charming area and make a morning stop at the scenic Dogwood Canyon…welcome to this beautiful preserved area. We will take a wonderful 2-hour guided and narrated tram tour through this beautiful area as you ride over many custom bridges and low water crossings. (This tour boasts 6 waterfalls and 17 stone bridges as you ride in the comfort of the tram). Your experienced tram guide will enhance your adventure with an informative glimpse into natural history as you cruise the canyon floor where archaeologists made some fascinating discoveries. Stops will be made at the chapel and one of the main waterfalls for viewing and enjoying. This tour also drives through elk and bison pastures where animals are normally spotted – your tram driver/guide often stops to feed them so passengers can get an up close look at these majestic animals. You will actually be in 2 states on this tram tour - the tour normally stars in Missouri and crosses over into Arkansas and then back into Missouri ! At the end of the tour, a box lunch will be included at their pavilion. We will then continue into Branson in our motorcoach for check in this afternoon. Then it’s all aboard the Branson Ducks for a land and water experience of this town which is fully narrated. The “Ride the Ducks” adventure is fun and exciting as you travel across Table Rock Dam and climb to the top of Baird Mountain which is the tallest point in the county - the view of Table Rock Lake from here is stunning! Dinner is included before we attend one of Branson’s most popular shows at Legends in Concert, the world’s greatest live tribute show.
