You will get to see the elite and beautiful area of Newport and enter the world of the Vanderbilt’s, discover the charming Kennebunkport area on a delightful tour, enjoy a Thimble Island cruise with over 25 beautiful and pristine islands, see fabulous views on one of New England’s top ten scenic coastal routes, enjoy Boston’s Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, and dine at Portland’s historic waterfront district of Old Port…plus lots more. The five states you will visit will be Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.
August 17 – Our travels begin with early morning departure with our first overnight near Elizabeth, New Jersey, just outside of New York City. Dinner is on your own tonight at a choice of places near your hotel.
August 18 – Continental breakfast included. By late morning, we will arrive in Connecticut and enjoy our Thimble Island Cruise with over 25 beautiful islands to see, many of them pristine and uninhabited. See unique Victorian Homes with gingerbread trimmings, widow walks and gazebos. You will hear the tales of the islands including history, nautical legend and hidden treasure. We will then arrive at the country’s largest casino and resort complex at Foxwoods where they are offering our group a complimentary buffet dinner. Try your luck at the slots or table games or just enjoy this beautiful resort complex and shops – the choice is yours. (Casino package could change by the casino without notice and beyond our control). Our overnight accommodations will be near Mystic, Connecticut. (CB, D)
August 19 – Continental breakfast included. We will have early morning departure and head to one of the most beautiful cities at Newport, Rhode Island to meet our guide. On your Newport tour you will enter the world of the Vanderbilt’s, Astor’s and the wealthiest of gilded age tycoons as you travel Newport’s fabulous Bellevue Avenue, peppered with stunning mansions and gardens. Take in the rugged beauty of the famous “Ten-Mile Ocean Drive” featuring magnificent ocean views and historic Fort Adams. You will hear about Newport’s rich yachting history, major winners of the coveted America’s Cup since 1930. You are in for a real treat as we board an elegant yacht and see Newport from the water and enjoy a delicious lunch cruise. Glide by fabulous coastal sites, mansions, yacht clubs, Jacqueline Kennedy’s summer home, towering bridges the “Rock House” and more – just a fabulous experience on the water! By late afternoon we arrive in Boston to visit JFK Library and Museum and follow our country’s 35th President from childhood to the White House. History comes alive with interactive exhibits, Presidential artifacts and video presentations. There will be time to explore and have dinner on your own at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market at this historic center filled with shops, eateries and lots to see. We will arrive at our home for the next 2 nights near Dover, New Hampshire after a big day. (CB, L)
August 20 – Continental breakfast included. This morning we meet our Kennebunkport guide and discover this charming area including views of the Bush Estate, Wedding Cake House, and Franciscan monastery. You will hear the history of this lovely Maine coastal community. We will then stretch our legs and have some free time for shopping and lunch on your own at “Old Port”, Portland’s historic waterfront district filled with shops and eateries. We will also take time to visit the Shipyard Brewery for tour and tasting – they have a great gift shop as well. You will enjoy Maine’s rugged rocky coast aboard the special Lighthouse Cruise with many picturesque lighthouses. You will cruise from Portland’s scenic harbor seeing the Calendar Islands, coastal forts, Maine lobster boats, playful seals and an array of seabirds. View as many as seven lighthouses including an up-close experience at Maine’s oldest and historic lighthouse, the Portland Headlight, still proudly perched on one of Maine’s famous rocky outcrops overlooking this beautiful harbor. We will top off this magnificent day with a delicious Maine Lobster dinner. (CB, D)
August 21 – Continental breakfast included. The last part of our New England travels will include a scenic drive on one of New England’s top ten scenic coastal routes before continuing towards home for our last overnight near Wilkes Barre, PA. You may want to choose to visit the nearby Mohegan Sun Casino on the complimentary hotel shuttle with a variety of dining options available on your own. (CB)

REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY:
Prior to 30 days from your departure date a full refund will be made (with the exception of special event and/or show tours, air tours and cruises which will be different - be sure to ask about these details when your booking is made). There is no refund for cancellations made within 30 days prior to your departure date. But you are welcome to send someone in your place and let us know the name change (this does not apply to air and cruise tours which have various restrictions, strict cancellation policies and name change charges).
REFUND PROTECTION PLAN:
Butler Motor Tours offers a refund protection plan on all overnight tours with varying restrictions due to the nature of the tour. We highly encourage you to take advantage of it, although it is certainly your own individual decision. This plan is available at an additional cost and will protect your monies due to sickness or death, but it does not cover you if you simply "change your mind". An official written letter from the doctor is required for proof of illness or a statement as to the death in your family. This plan expires 30 days after cancellation, if the documentation is not received within 30 days of cancellation, the refund is forfeited. There is only a small window period of time in which you are allowed to purchase the plan so be sure to ask upon booking.
SMOKING & ALCOHOL:
To ensure passenger comfort, we have a "NO SMOKING" policy on all of our tours, which also includes e-cigarettes. Ample comfort stops are made for smoking and restroom convenience. Feel free to request a smoking or non-smoking hotel room when making your reservations. No alcohol is allowed on any tour at any time. We reserve the right to refuse boarding under such circumstances that these policies are not followed.
Butler Motor Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour that has not reached a minimum number of reservations. We also reserve the right to change tour prices and itineraries if so dictated by circumstances beyond our control. We always avoid canceling a tour if at all possible, as we understand the inconvenience to you - our valued customer. Feel free to ask about any departure, especially if you are taking vacation days at your place of work.
The cost of your tour includes one piece of luggage per person to be checked under the coach and one small carry-on piece. Any additional suitcase is allowed at a cost of $5.00 per day and this must be paid with the final tour payment. You will be responsible for the handling of your own carry-on luggage at all times.
Butler Motor Tours acts as an agent in arranging hotel and other accommodations and cannot be held responsible for non-performance.
Any person or group which requires an ADA accessible bus is requested to inform us at the time of reservation, and must notify us in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the charter's departure.
Charges will appear as "CoachUSA/Megabus" on your credit card statement. We are a United States merchant and all card payments are processed at our corporate office located at 160 S. Route 17 North, Paramus, NJ.
