September 14 – Today we depart our home towns with as we start our trip heading northeast and our first overnight near the Poconos with lovely accommodations including breathtaking views as you surround yourself in natural beauty of the Woodlands Resort, nestled in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains. Relax and enjoy resort-style accommodations – you deserve it ! We will arrive this afternoon and check in with free time to fill as you wish. Your hotel has an indoor pool and Jacuzzi along with 2 restaurants and lounge. Or, you may choose to partake in the free shuttle to the nearby Mohegan Sun Casino at Pocono Downs which is only a short distance from your luxury hotel and boasts an abundance of dining choices at over seven restaurants on sight. While there you may want to try your luck in their beautiful 55,000 square foot gaming floor with thousands of slots and your favorite table games. There many choices to fill your evening.
September 15 – Enjoy a full breakfast at your resort property this morning before we depart the area bright and early and continue towards the Boston region with arrival this afternoon. We have included a narrated Boston Harbor Cruise where you will be able to see the bustling Inner Harbor area and learn about this historic waterfront area including Charles Navy Yard, Boston’s fishing industry, the Tea Party site and more. We will visit Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market including time to explore and have dinner (vouchers included) at this historic center filled with shops, eateries and carts of hand-crafted gifts. We will then check in to our hotel near Woburn, Massachusetts for a one night stay….welcome to New England ! (B, D)
September 16 – Continental breakfast included. Get ready as its all aboard on the Amtrak’s Downeaster Excursion – what a way to go ! You will ride this scenic and coastal train from Massachusetts to Maine. Upon arrival, our motorcoach will meet us as we continue on to Kennebunkport to take time to browse and stretch our legs at the many shops and galleries on the waterfront with time for lunch on your own. With our tour guide, we will discover charming Kennebunkport including views of the Busch Estate, Wedding Cake House and Franciscan monastery with an included visit to the chapel. You will enjoy the history of this popular Maine community. We will then check in at our local hotel near Saco, Maine for the night with dinner included. (CB, D)
September 17 – Continental breakfast included. We will continue on with our tour with a stop at the one of the most popular spots in all of New England at the Portland Headlight – this is a great photo opportunity with views of scenic Casco Bay and the Calender Islands. Once again, it’s all aboard as we ride the Maine Eastern Railroad on the Maine coast from Brunswick to Rockland. You will be welcomed aboard the restored vintage railcars for a carefree journey through the beautiful scenery of mid-coast Maine including charming seaside villages, picturesque sailboats, lobstermen working their trips on the bay, tidewater wildlife and more. The Maine Eastern passenger fleet is comprised of restored streamlined stainless steel railcars from the Art Deco era of the 1940's and 1950's and recently fully rebuilt to today's standards of safety and comfort. The train is accompanied by a dining car that provides passengers with snacks and beverages as they choose. Upon arrival, our motorcoach will once again meet us and there will be free time to stretch and enjoy lunch and shopping on your own in the popular village of Camden, Maine. We will meet our guide for a tour of the beautiful area including panoramic views from Mount Battie overlooking scenic Penobscot Bay and the Gulf of Maine while hearing about the rich maritime history. Dinner will be included tonight and Belfast, Maine will be our home away from home for the next two nights. (CB, D)
September 18 – Continental breakfast included. The Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad will take us on a train excursion through the Maine countryside as we cross trestles with views of beautiful Lake Winnecook, marshlands, rivers streams and forest. A trip to this area would not be complete without stopping at the popular downtown waterfront spot of Bar Harbor filled with shops, eateries, galleries and more. Take time to explore and enjoy lunch on your own here. You will then be amazed by the natural wonders of the Maine Treasure of Acadia National Park on a guided tour. You will travel to the Peake of Cadillac Mountain for breath-taking views of the mountains and the Atlantic. Venture to Otter Point and experience the rocky cliffs jutting out into the crashing surf. Witness the wonder of Sieur DeMont Springs vision and passion for this preserved park, and learn about the power of the surf at Thunder Hole which is a small inlet naturally carved out of the rocks where the waves roll in – it will give you new respect for the ocean’s strength. A wonderful Maine Lobster dinner is included tonight – they really know how to do it up here ! (CB, D)
September 19 – Continental breakfast included before we check out and make our last stop at Freeport at the popular LL Bean along with other quality outlet stores. We then say goodbye to this magnificent area and head towards home with our last overnight near Middletown, New York. (CB)

REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY:
Prior to 30 days from your departure date a full refund will be made (with the exception of special event and/or show tours, air tours and cruises which will be different - be sure to ask about these details when your booking is made). There is no refund for cancellations made within 30 days prior to your departure date. But you are welcome to send someone in your place and let us know the name change (this does not apply to air and cruise tours which have various restrictions, strict cancellation policies and name change charges).
REFUND PROTECTION PLAN:
Butler Motor Tours offers a refund protection plan on all overnight tours with varying restrictions due to the nature of the tour. We highly encourage you to take advantage of it, although it is certainly your own individual decision. This plan is available at an additional cost and will protect your monies due to sickness or death, but it does not cover you if you simply "change your mind". An official written letter from the doctor is required for proof of illness or a statement as to the death in your family. This plan expires 30 days after cancellation, if the documentation is not received within 30 days of cancellation, the refund is forfeited. There is only a small window period of time in which you are allowed to purchase the plan so be sure to ask upon booking.
SMOKING & ALCOHOL:
To ensure passenger comfort, we have a "NO SMOKING" policy on all of our tours, which also includes e-cigarettes. Ample comfort stops are made for smoking and restroom convenience. Feel free to request a smoking or non-smoking hotel room when making your reservations. No alcohol is allowed on any tour at any time. We reserve the right to refuse boarding under such circumstances that these policies are not followed.
Butler Motor Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour that has not reached a minimum number of reservations. We also reserve the right to change tour prices and itineraries if so dictated by circumstances beyond our control. We always avoid canceling a tour if at all possible, as we understand the inconvenience to you - our valued customer. Feel free to ask about any departure, especially if you are taking vacation days at your place of work.
The cost of your tour includes one piece of luggage per person to be checked under the coach and one small carry-on piece. Any additional suitcase is allowed at a cost of $5.00 per day and this must be paid with the final tour payment. You will be responsible for the handling of your own carry-on luggage at all times.
Butler Motor Tours acts as an agent in arranging hotel and other accommodations and cannot be held responsible for non-performance.
Any person or group which requires an ADA accessible bus is requested to inform us at the time of reservation, and must notify us in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the charter's departure.
