Taking the trek on the Ohio River is a delightful way to immerse oneself in the rich cultural history and have fun along the way. Lunch and entertainment on board. Cruise is approximately 5 hours long. Once reaching the Louisville area your captain will treat guests to historic river history and take guests into the area where all the other visiting Riverboats will be in port or traversing the river. Full hot lunch buffet, unlimited beer/wine/soft drinks and live entertainment plus an OTT tour ambassador. Arrival at the landing area at Captains Quarters where the group will then travel to Clarksville where they will overnight on the Sunnyside of Louisville at a full service hotel. Slip into the indoor pool, use the 24 hour fitness center, play a round of mini golf or enjoy a beverage in the Quarter Pole Lounge. Dinner buffet will be included at the Horseshoe Casino Resort Ballroom this evening along with a show. Guests will enjoy an evening of Dixieland, ragtime, jazz and swing music complete with the BEADS along with a $10.00 cash play for the casino. Depart after a fun filled evening and take the group back to the hotel.

October 16 – Full hot breakfast buffet at the hotel this morning. Enjoy a tram tour of MEGA Caverns, located beneath the Louisville Zoo. The caverns were created by a massive underground limestone quarry during the middle of the last century. Enough rock was minded to build all three of Egypt’s Pyramids. Even though it’s underground, the Louisville MEGA Cavern is actually the largest building in the state of Kentucky. It’s now a high security commercial storage facility, with 17 miles of corridors. Temperature is a constant 58 degrees so bring a jacket. You will hop on a SUV-pulled tram and be joined by a MEGA Cavern expert who will guide your adventure through 17 miles of corridors underneath the Louisville zoo! NO WALKING. This will be a 60-70 minute tour, strategically lit to enjoy highlights such as (early cavern formations, historic replica of the Cuban Missile Fallout Bunker, worm recycling/tasting room, sights and facts of the early mining operation, hear about the storm dog and pigeon eating hawk, with more surprises that wait around every corner). The temperature is a constant 58 degrees so bring a jacket. Time to enjoy the gift shop after the tram tour. Enjoy a guided tour of Glassworks. Watch the artists sculpt with glass using an oxygen/propane torch. Learn about the process and watch artists blow glass in its molten state. You will enjoy lunch on your own around town and enjoy the Waterfront Park which offers visitors an introduction to the banks of the majestic Ohio River. Within walking distance is the Fourth Street Live, Louisville’s premier dining and entertainment district featuring a mix of thirteen leading national and regional restaurants, including the Makers mark Bourbon Tasting Room!
