Day Three & Four:  At last – TEXAS! Our home for the next two nights is the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, which is the largest metropolitan area in the entire south. We will take a guided Dallas city tour and experience a taste of history with a visit to the famous JFK Museum 6th Floor Museum. Our time in Ft. Worth features the famous “Stockyards” (which is more than you ever imagined), and we usually get to see a real cattle drive “up close and personal”! What fun to view and see with your own eyes!  One evening, dinner is included at the Trail Dust Steakhouse complete with live music and dance floor!  Meals: (2 B, 1 D)

Day Five, Six & Seven:  One of the most cultural, historic and beautiful spots in Texas is San Antonio. En route, we will enjoy the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame in Waco, and the LBJ Library Museum in San Antonio. No visit to Texas would be complete without the Alamo. We will tour this with our local professional guide, and many more of the highlights of San Antonio such as the San Fernando Cathedral and Mission San Jose. One afternoon will find us in “hill country” for a Texas-style chuck wagon lunch at the Y.O. Ranch – awesome! Next, a visit to the National Nimitz Museum of the Pacific War!You’ll have some free time to take the famous boat ride on the “Riverwalk” and enjoy the Mexican Marketplace. Our home for the next two nights is the awesome Historic Hotel Galvez overlooking the Gulf of Mexico – this place is gorgeous!

Day Nine:  Today we drive over to Houston to experience a standout feature of your trip – the fascinating NASA Johnson Space Center complex.  It is often referred to by its central function, "Mission Control". We have increased your time here at your request, and include the tram tour to make sure you see all the best! A special dinner is ours this evening at Mario’s Seawall Restaurant back in Galveston.
Meals: (B, D)

Day Ten & Eleven:  The fun is far from over as our adventure continues. Today we’re visiting famous Frogmore Plantation in Louisiana, a working 1800-acre cotton plantation of the early 1800’s where you will hear of the “old” and see the “new” ways of producing this important crop. Our folks loved this fascinating stop in past years, and actually picked cotton! Then it’s on to our next destination, antebellum Natchez, MS adorning the banks of the Mighty Mississippi. We’ll have a wonderful guided tour, visit some mansions in the historic district, take a carriage ride of the beautiful historic section, dine at a local favorite, and overnight at a hotel right on the river.  During your time here you will back in the ambiance and charm of the Old South"!  Meals: (2B, 1L, 1D)

Day Twelve:  Our day of travel north through Alabama ends in the “Scenic City of the South”, Chattanooga, Tennessee, as we spend our overnight in this popular tourist area. It’s where 124,000 Civil War soldiers clashed, thousands of Cherokee embarked on the Trail of Tears, and home of the famous “Choo-Choo”.  Meals: (B)

Day Thirteen:  We will visit famous Rock City, a beautiful creation of nature leading you up to the point where you can look out on a clear day and see 7 states! This is also the home of the famous “Lover’s Leap” (but no jumping allowed!) We depart Chattanooga after lunch with our overnight in one of the hottest touring areas in the country – Lexington, Kentucky!  Enjoy a lovely dinner at Acres of Land!  Meals: (B, D)

Day Fourteen:  The fun’s not over as we take an excellent driving tour of some of the Lexington area highlights. CANCELED TOURS:
Gad-About Tours Inc. reserves the right to cancel any tour that has not reached a minimum number of reservations. We reserve the right to change tour prices and itinerary. Tours are prepared up to a year in advance and may be impacted by circumstances that arise which are beyond our control. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse service to anyone, in our sole discretion. We always avoid changes and cancellations if at all possible, as we realize the inconvenience to you, our valued customer.

TRANSPORTATION:
All of our tours are by late-model, deluxe wide-body motorcoach. They are equipped with air-conditioning, reclining seats, public address system, VCR, and emergency restrooms. Our intent is for all overnight tours to be professionally escorted for your convenience. Upon occasion, in order to avoid canceling a trip with a low passenger count, our driver may serve both positions of driver and escort, and all are professionally trained to do so. Also, on air trips with low passenger counts, we may not be able to provide an escort from our company. However, we will provide airport transportation*, plus a guide from our connecting company will meet you upon arrival at your destination and be with you throughout the entire tour. (*If only a few are going on a given air tour, we will pay your airport parking fee in lieu of using the coach.)

LODGING:
Your lodging is included on all overnight tours. All hotels are AAA rated. We never use second-rate hotels, restaurants, or activities on any tour, to the best of our ability to make that determination. Payment of telephone calls, room service, and other incidentals at places of lodging are the responsibility of the customer.

LUGGAGE:
One suitcase per person is included in the price of your tour. You are also permitted a carry-on, which is your responsibility. Additional luggage may be transported at the cost of $5.00 per bag, per day. It is wise to travel light. Luggage tags are provided and required for hotel identification, and are sent with the final letter with the phone numbers of your hotels.

TAXES AND GRATUITIES:
All taxes and gratuities for included meals and activities are included, unless otherwise mentioned by the Escort. Driver and Escort gratuities are not included in the price of the tour, and are optional. However, the suggested gratuity as posted by the American Bus Assoc. for a job well done is $2.00-$2.50 per person/per day for the tour escort, and $2.00-$2.50 per person/per day for the driver. We request that you express this on an individual basis, and let the quality of service received be your guide.

SEATING:
On all overnight tours, we use a daily seat rotation. The first day of a trip, we allow you to choose your seat when you get on, and rotate from there. We feel this is fair to all involved. If the coach is not full, a less formal rotation may be used at escort’s discretion.

SMOKING:
We make regular stops for restrooms and for the convenience of smokers; however, we have a NO SMOKING policy aboard all coaches. This policy also applies to e-cigarettes.
