CALLING ALL VIETNAM VETERANS, THEIR SPOUSES, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS ...
It's going to be an incredibly unique moment in American History, as it is the first time that a ticker-tape style parade has been delayed so long that the marching soldiers are now grandparents! Rather that being welcomed at an age when they should have been celebrating a return to civilian life with the promise of a future in front of them, these men and women are now being invited to gather and march in celebration of lives lived, services rendered and freedoms guaranteed for the families they've already raised.
Highlights of This Commemorative Tour Include:
• 4 Nights in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee in the heart of the beautiful Smoky Mts.
• The Grand "WELCOME HOME, VIETNAM" Parade
• "Tribute to the Troops" Variety Show
• Dixie Stampede's Salute to Vietnam Veterans
• Gala Vietnam Veteran's Charity Dinner
• Veterans Reunion Hall (Veterans Only)
• Smoky Mountain Guided Tour w/Cherokee
• Free Time to chose from many options
• Local Attractions Discounts and Coupons
• All Taxes & Tips and Luggage Handling
• 3 Dinners - 4 Breakfasts

Day 2 - Monday - April 15, 2013 - Breakfast included each morning at hotel. Meet local tour guide for a full day tour in the smoky Mountains. Stops will be made along the way plus you'll visit Cherokee, North Carolina to learn about the Smoky's Native American population. Then enjoy some free time t explore quaint Gatlinburg any way you wish.
Day 3 - Tuesday - April 16, 2013 - At the Sevierville Convention Center each morning, there will be a "Reunion Hall" - a place to gather, a place for soldiers to connect with long-lost, but not forgotten, comrades-in-arms. The Reunion Hall is for servicemen only - spouses and other will spend their mornings exploring Pigeon Forge via trolley, or relaxing at the hotel - it's up to you! There is a Reunion Registry on www.WelcomeHomeVietnam.com Every Veteran must register so we have info to share with others, and to organize parade space. We need your branch of service, year in-country and unit. Plus whether or not you'll be marching in the parade, as well as if a spouse is attending to provide preferred seating locations.
Then this afternoon, the signature event steps off. Sponsored by the City of Pigeon Forge and the Tennessee National Guard, it's the "Welcome Home, Vietnam Parade." It will be led by celebrity Parade Marshalls (to be named) who will ride behind a color guard consisting of the American, Tennessee, POW/MIA and Vietnam Veteran's Flags to the Reviewing Stand where they will be raised and will fly over this ceremony. The USMC Band will follow the Color Guard.
Next, Vietnam Vets will stream down the Pigeon Forge Parkway. past the Reviewing Stand. They will receive salutes and applause, confetti cannons will shoot colored paper into the air, and bands will play in celebration as Tennessee extends a raucous and long overdue, HERO'S WELCOME!
Note: Each attendee needs to bring a lawn chair for seating for this event. Reserved seats only for Vets.
This evening, after the excitement of the parade has passed, you will be guests for a special evening. You'll either enjoy the Hatfield & McCoy's or the Smith Family Dinner Theater - or you will attend the Ole Smoky Mountain Opry or Comedy Barn with dinner at a local restaurant before the curtain rises. No matter which one, it will be excellent!

This "free time" could include the outlet mall, the Elvis Museum ($10.00) or the Hollywood Wax Museum ($15.95) or perhaps the massive Titanic Exhibit ($25.00), or maybe a game of miniature golf. Close to the date, we may even be able to offer a shuttle on our coach for those interested in "HOOTCH"! At the Ole Smoky Moonshine, you'll see authentic working moonshine stills and experience the process from beginning to end.
The Titanic Museum Attraction has a special offer to Veteran's Wives, it's an option to attend a Titanic Breakfast Tea (an additional $40.00 fee includes the breakfast & museum tickets - let us know if you want to do this.) Our intent is for all overnight tours to be professionally escorted for your convenience. Also, on air trips with low passenger counts, we may not be able to provide an escort from our company. However, we will provide airport transportation*, plus a guide from our connecting company will meet you upon arrival at your destination and be with you throughout the entire tour. (*If only a few are going on a given air tour, we will pay your airport parking fee in lieu of using the coach.)

Payment of telephone calls, room service, and other incidentals at places of lodging are the responsibility of the customer.
One suitcase per person is included in the price of your tour. You are also permitted a carry-on, which is your responsibility. Additional luggage may be transported at the cost of $5.00 per bag, per day. It is wise to travel light. Luggage tags are provided and required for hotel identification, and are sent with the final letter with the phone numbers of your hotels.
TAXES AND GRATUITIES:
All taxes and gratuities for included meals and activities are included, unless otherwise mentioned by the Escort. Driver and Escort gratuities are not included in the price of the tour, and are optional. However, the suggested gratuity as posted by the American Bus Assoc. for a job well done is $2.00-$2.50 per person/per day for the tour escort, and $2.00-$2.50 per person/per day for the driver. We request that you express this on an individual basis, and let the quality of service received be your guide.
On all overnight tours, we use a daily seat rotation. The first day of a trip, we allow you to choose your seat when you get on, and rotate from there. We feel this is fair to all involved. If the coach is not full, a less formal rotation may be used at escort’s discretion.
We make regular stops for restrooms and for the convenience of smokers; however, we have a NO SMOKING policy aboard all coaches. This policy also applies to e-cigarettes.
