Day 1: Overnight Flight
The fabulous French Riviera awaits your arrival, complete with elegant coastal resorts, superb dining, fabulous shopping and fascinating museums. Unpack your bags just one and stay at a single hotel for your entire adventure which begins with an overnight flight to France.
Day 2: Nice (French Rivers), France - Tour Begins
Your tour commences in the stunning Mediterranean city of Nice, long revered as the playground of the rich and famous. With an average of nearly 300 sunny days per year, Nice is a seaside paradise. Arrive in Nice, France and meet your Tour Director before transferring to your hotel to begin a 7-Night stay at One Hotel in Nice, the famous city in the French Riviera. Nice is the fourth largest city in France, and a popular destinations fro vacationers both young and old with something to offer everyone. It is well know for the beautiful views on the Promenade des Anglais, its famous waterfront. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner featuring inspired French cuisine artfully presented. Meal: Dinner
Day 3: Nice
Today enjoy a Nice City Tour featuring the Chagall Museum. Located in the heart of a Mediterranean garden, the museum boasts a permanent exhibition of Chagall's outstanding painting, his stained-glass windows which decorate the concert hall and a mosaic that Chagall created especially for the building. Continue and visit the beautiful Notre Dame Church, built between 1864-1868, and the largest church in Nice. Also visit the Nice flower Market, where for at least a century the open square has been a flower market, but the area has served as a marketplace since the time of the Romans. After time for lunch, depart for a Grasse, the perfume capital of the world and enjoy a bit of time to explore this quaint town on your own. Later visit the Fragonard Perfume Factory to discover the secrets of the trade and observe the fascinating art of perfume-making. Return to Nice and enjoy the evening on your own. Meal: Breakfast
Day 4: Ventimiglia - San Remo, Italy
Travel to Ventimiglia, Italy to explore this quaint seaside town. Enjoy time on your own to explore the massive street market or wander the cobbled streets. Continue to San Remo, the capital town of the Italian Riviera, Enjoy some time to explore the old town called La Pigna which is characterized by perched house, steep streets, covered alleys and little squares - a glimpse of Medieval times. later return to Nice and enjoy an evening at leisure. Meal: Breakfast
Day 5: Nice at Leisure - Aix-en-Provence Optional
Enjoy a day at leisure in Nice to relax by the sea or visit a museum. Maybe join the optional excursion to Aix-en-Provence, the city of art and light. Aix is also ancient, the area was a Celtic-Ligurian capital dating to the 3rd century BC. Visit artist Paul Cezanne's Studio which has been preserved as it was when he died in 1906. Just east of Aix, take a picture of Montagne Ste-Victoire which inspired many of Cezanne's paintings, 87 in all. During your visit to Aix, enjoy a Wine Tasting from a local vineyard of the region before returning to Nice. Meal: Breakfast
Day 6: Monte Carlo, Monaco
Today travel to the principality of Monaco, a tiny city-sate on the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by France. The most famous district of Monaco is Monte Carlo, the site of the well-known casino and a glittering center of international social life. Upon arrival enjoy a Monte Carlo Area Tour including the 19th Century Romanesque Cathedral, the site of Princess Grace's Tomb. Complete your tour with a visit to th famous Casino Monte Carlo. Tonight enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in the Nice area with your fellow travelers. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Day 7: Nice at Leisure
Enjoy a Full day to explore Nice on your own. Nice itself is an attraction with its rich blue-green sea, diverse shopping, splendid dining and lovely art-deco facades. Maybe join an optional tour and visit Eze, a medieval French village with craft shops and excellent views of the Mediterranean coast. The excursion also features St. Jean-Cap Ferrat, one of the three major capes of the French Riviera and probably the most beautiful. Visit the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, built by Beatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, a wealthy French socialite in the early 1900's. Meal: Breakfast
Day 8: Antibes, Cannes & St. Tropez
After breakfast, travel to the famous towns of Antibes, Cannes and St. Tropez. Antibes is a quintessential Mediterranean town and a favorite to many of the resident artists of the last centuries as it boasts narrow cobblestone streets and a unique atmosphere. Next, travel to Cannes, a glamorous and expensive seaside town considered to be one of the social hubs of Europe. Its moment to shine arrives in May each year as the venue for the Cannes Film Festival, entertaining the rich and famous. Enjoy some time to sit at street side tables and enjoy the favored hobby of people watching up and down the lovely marina. Later travel to St. Tropez, an internationally know seaside resort, renowned principally because of the influx of artists of the French New Wave and later as a resort for the jest set. St. Tropez is a goal for tourists in search of a little Provencal authenticity and the occasional celebrity sighting. This evening join your fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner. Day 9: Nice - Fly Home - Tour Ends

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover if you are making your reservation by phone, or you can send a check to our office (please call first to check availability). If you are booking online, payment must be made in full.
Up to 45 days prior to departure date, a full refund will be made. *Air and cruise tours, and some longer tours, may be different—be sure to ask for details when making your reservation. Tours including tickets also generally have earlier non-refundable dates. There are no refunds for cancellations made within 45 days prior to your departure date. However, we will do our best to recover as much as we can, but cannot guarantee anything. There will be no refund, for any reason, for a “no-show” on the day of the tour. A “Refund Protection Plan” is available at our office at a minimal cost. This insures you a full refund in case of a death or illness in the immediate family up to 24 hours before the tour departs. (It does require a doctor’s written note or copy of death notice.) On longer tours, we have a special insurance plan available if you are interested, and it will be sent to you with your confirmation. We encourage you to take advantage of these protection plans. The Refund Protection Plan does not apply to Day Trips, nor are there any refunds for Day Trips, with a few exceptions.
Gad-About Tours Inc. reserves the right to cancel any tour that has not reached a minimum number of reservations. We reserve the right to change tour prices and itinerary. Tours are prepared up to a year in advance and may be impacted by circumstances that arise which are beyond our control. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse service to anyone, in our sole discretion. We always avoid changes and cancellations if at all possible, as we realize the inconvenience to you, our valued customer.
All of our tours are by late-model, deluxe wide-body motorcoach. They are equipped with air-conditioning, reclining seats, public address system, VCR, and emergency restrooms. Our intent is for all overnight tours to be professionally escorted for your convenience. Upon occasion, in order to avoid canceling a trip with a low passenger count, our driver may serve both positions of driver and escort, and all are professionally trained to do so. All Fly Trips include airfare from Cleveland Airport , transfers and air taxes and fess (subject to increase until paid in full). You will drive yourself to the airport. Trip insurance is available, and will be sent to you upon making your reservation for your individual consideration.
Your lodging is included on all overnight tours. All hotels are AAA rated. We never use second-rate hotels, restaurants, or activities on any tour, to the best of our ability to make that determination. Payment of telephone calls, room service, and other incidentals at places of lodging are the responsibility of the customer.
One suitcase per person is included in the price of your tour. You are also permitted a carry-on, which is your responsibility. Additional luggage may be transported at the cost of $5.00 per bag, per day. It is wise to travel light. Luggage tags are provided and required for hotel identification, and are sent with the final letter with the phone numbers of your hotels.
TAXES AND GRATUITIES:
All taxes and gratuities for included meals and activities are included, unless otherwise mentioned by the Escort. Driver and Escort gratuities are not included in the price of the tour, and are optional. However, the suggested gratuity as posted by the American Bus Assoc. for a job well done is $2.00-$2.50 per person/per day for the tour escort, and $2.00-$2.50 per person/per day for the driver. We request that you express this on an individual basis, and let the quality of service received be your guide.
On all overnight tours, we use a daily seat rotation. The first day of a trip, we allow you to choose your seat when you get on, and rotate from there. We feel this is fair to all involved. If the coach is not full, a less formal rotation may be used at escort’s discretion.
We make regular stops for restrooms and for the convenience of smokers; however, we have a NO SMOKING policy aboard all coaches. This policy also applies to e-cigarettes.
Gad-About Tours, Inc. is bonded, insured, and registered with the ICC, number MC 198451. We act only as agents and are not responsible to any person for any loss of time or money due to a change or delay beyond our control. Nor are we responsible for non-performance by those we have contracted with. Any claims against Gad-About Tours Inc. must be made, in writing, within 30 days of the trip.
