It utilizes artifacts, documents, interactive media and 3-D productions to give you an understanding of the causes and consequences of the Civil War, and knowledge of the different people who were significant to the conflict.
Farnsworth House Inn : The Farnsworth House Inn is named after Brigadier General Elon John Farnsworth who led a disastrous charge following Pickett’s charge in which Farnsworth and 65 of his men were killed. During the battle, the house was occupied by Confederate sharpshooters who are believed to have shot the only civilian to die in the battle, Jennie Wade. The Farnsworth House has won many awards and is renowned for its Civil War dining experience. The Lee and Meade dining rooms offer Pennsylvania Dutch fare served by period costumed wait staff.

Much to ponder while traveling back to Pittsburgh.
Seminary Ridge Museum : The Seminary Ridge Museum is a joint effort between the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Adams County Historical Society and the Seminary Ridge Historic Foundation. This building was home to the Lutheran Seminary and was used by the Union and a place to view the battle. Later, it served as the main field hospital for wounded of both sides of the conflict.
