Additional Trip Suspensions 901 and 905 Effective August 17, 2020
Due to the continued low ridership on Routes 901 and 905 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, effective August 17th, 2020, the following additional trips will be suspended:
E3, W3, W4, W9, OE3 and OW4
In addition trip OE5 will start at the Nagawaukee Park and Ride at Hwy 83 and I-94 and trips E5 and OE4 will add service to the UW-Milwaukee Campus. Note service to the UW-Milwaukee Campus will start Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
Trips E4, E7, W2, W6, W10 and OE6 that were suspended April 6th will also remain suspended. There are no changes the Route 904.
Current ridership levels have remained extremely low and the current service levels can not continue to be maintained. These additional temporary suspensions are designed to preserve the Routes 901 and 905 in the long term. Waukesha County Transit will continue to monitor ridership and demand for service and make further adjustments as needed. Given the fluid nature of the COVID pandemic, the timing of restoring suspended trips is unknown. In addition, trips may be restored individually or in group based on demand for the service. Waukesha County Transit will provide updates to service changes as warranted.
The new temporary schedules for Routes 901, 904, 905 are available on the Route 901, 904 and 905 buses, at the Waukesha Transit Center and at
www.wisconsincoach.com or www.waukeshametro.org
Waukesha County Transit asks for passengers understanding and flexibility as we navigate through the pandemic.
Thank you.
