If you've heard a country song within the past 45 years, then you've heard the amazing influence of Patsy Cline.   Her talent has been an inspiration to countless country artists since her career was tragically cut short in 1963.  Born in the Shenandoah Valley, VA, Patsy sky-rocketed to fame  in 1957 and gained a reputation as one of the major female vocalist of all time.  We are headed to Patsy's home town of Winchester for an in depth look at her life, career, and legacy.  With the use of objects, clothing, and rare photographs, The Museum of Shenandoah Valley presents a powerful exibition that captures the artist's rise to fame.  We'll visit the Patsy Cline Historic House, where she lived with her mother and siblings;  see the radio station that first filled the airwaves with her sweet melodies, where she worked as a teenager, and her final resting place.  Spend time exploring Old Town Winchester, a charming setting that combines history, an eclectic mix of shops, outdoor cafes, and century old architecture.  While in the area, we'll tour the region's only authentic antebellum plantation, Belle Grove, and discover an underground world of wonder at Shenendoah Caverns (with elevator service).  Plus, a delicious farm-fresh meal at Macintosh Fruit Farm with entertainment from a Patsy Cline singer.  You'd be crazy not to come along.
