A perfect day-trip from New York City, Storm King Art Center is a delightful experience for art and nature lovers of all ages. The collection of sculpture is sited throughout Storm King’s 500 acre landscape, surrounded by the majestic Schunnemunk and Storm King mountains. Storm King’s program to promote native grasses and trees, to protect and encourage local wildlife, and to support native and migrating species of butterflies creates different kinds of natural encounters.

It features sculpture by the Los Angeles-based artist inspired by the human form and includes sculptural relief, works on paper, and indoor and outdoor freestanding sculpture. Also on view: A Proverbial Machine in the Garden, a site-specific work by David Brooks comprising a buried tractor viewable from ground level. Both are on view May 4 through November 11.
