Tuesday, March 3, 2015 - Stagecoach Group has launched its 2015 Champions Awards for employees – and is inviting customers of its subsidiaries, megabus.com and Coach USA to nominate their favorite member of staff for the Customer Service Champions Award.
This is the sixth year of the company’s Group-wide Champions Awards which recognize staff achievements in a number of categories including safety, environment, health, innovation, community and customer service.
The awards are open to employees across Stagecoach’s bus and rail operations in the UK and North America including megabus.com and Coach USA. More than 90 staff members have been honored for their outstanding efforts over the past six years.
Coach USA brands include Airport Supersaver (IN), All West (CA), American Coach Lines of Atlanta (GA), Butler Motor Transit (PA), Central Cab Co. (PA), Chicago Trolley (IL), Community Coach (NJ/NY), Coach USA Airport Express (WI/IL), Coach USA Elko (NV), Dillon’s Bus Service (MD), Hudson Transit Lines (NJ), Kerrville Bus Company (TX), Lakefront Lines (OH), Lenzner Coach Lines (PA), megabus.com, Newark Airport Express (NJ/NY), ONE Bus (NJ), Southern California Gray Line (CA), Powder River Transportation (WY), Rockland Coaches (NY), Suburban Transit (NJ/NY),Van Galder Bus (WI), Wisconsin Coach Lines (WI).
Stagecoach is calling on the help of its millions of local bus customers to nominate their favorite employee – it could be a bus driver, dispatcher, baggage handler, customer service representative or any other member of the Stagecoach team.
“We believe in rewarding employees who have gone above and beyond and encourage Coach USA and megabus.com customers across North America to take the time to recognize those who have provided excellent customer service,” said Dale Moser, Chief Executive Officer of Coach USA.
All employees nominated will be eligible to win a gold, silver or bronze Champions award along with a cash prize.
In addition, customers who nominate a winning employee will also receive a cash prize*. The customer who nominates a gold award-winning employee will receive $800, the customer who puts forward a silver award-winning employee will receive $400 and the customer who nominates a bronze award-winning employee will receive $200.
Stagecoach Group Chief Executive Martin Griffiths said: “We know many of our staff have a great relationship with our customers and the job they do is appreciated by many local people. This is a chance for our customers to help local staff gain recognition at a national level as well as potentially winning a prize themselves.
Customers who wish to nominate an employee should visit http://www.coachusa.com/champions or email firstname.lastname@example.org to give details of the staff member and an explanation of why they believe the employee deserves to win an award.
